Love. Just love. That’s what Susanne & Garry meant to us. They wanted to get married in a small fishing town in Catalonia called Calella de Palafrugell that they knew well from their past travels there.  Given the wonderful bond between them and the town, they decided to go for a Scottish-Catalan culture mix as their wedding theme. So, it was all about symbolism and every single detail was very meaningful to them.

The venue chosen was a lovely and typical hotel in the middle of the town. They always dreamed of getting married there and finally they did. The ceremony was a Celtic handfasting act performed beautifully by Terry, a British Humanist Minister based in Spain.  After the ceremony, all the guests enjoyed the canapés by the pool and once they arrived at the reception area, each guest was welcomed with a small bottle of whisky that they brought from Scotland, specifically from the area where Garry’s clan is from.

Susanne and Garry cut the cake with the knife from Garry’s kilt and right after we added a bit more of Catalan tradition with a typical Catalan drink, called cremat made of dark rum, cinnamon, lemon peel and coffee beans. The final Scottish touch came after the first dance and just before the party as they decided to remember and enjoy their early years dancing typical Scottish songs.

Thank you, Susanne & Garry, for your trust.

Love x

"After deciding to get married in Catalonia we immediately started trying to plan our wedding. We knew exactly the town in which we wanted to get married, having visited it many times before. I was initially unsure about how to begin the planning process, we were not able to travel to Catalonia prior to the wedding and I was worried about the language difference.

Finding Angela was a godsend! She listened to all our basic ideas and helped pull them together, putting us in touch with some fantastic vendors. It was so reassuring to know that she was only an email or phone call away, throughout the planning process we had regular catch ups and were able to meet to chat in person on a number of occasions before the big day.

Our wedding day was perfect. Angela took control of coordinating, leaving us free to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about what was going to happen next. Reflecting back after the wedding we really felt that Angela took the time to learn about what we wanted as a couple, and worked hard to make our dream day a reality. She has the great skill of being able to organize and coordinate, without us feeling like we were not the ones in control of our big day.

I would recommend Angela to any couple planning a wedding in Catalonia, she helped make our big day everything we had ever hoped for!!"
